ADA Solutions Answers Your FAQs!
Understanding your business’ responsibilities to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act can be a big job, but ADA Solutions is available to help. Our tactile warning systems with truncated domes have helped many cities and businesses meet ADA standards and make life safer for vision-impaired citizens. If you’re considering our products, you probably have questions. Here are the answers to some of the most common queries we receive from our customers:
-
What Are Your Warning Tiles Made of?
At ADA Solutions, our detectable warning tiles are built to last. They are made of carbon-reinforced composite and homogenous glass. The truncated domes are made of fiberglass and reinforced to ensure durability. Testing has shown that our warning tiles last twice as long as the granite that typically surrounds them.
-
What Is “Sound on Cane”?
One of the best features of our tactile warning systems is the “sound on cane” feature. This means that whenever a cane strikes one of our truncated domes, a sound vibrates against the cane. This sound is an added layer of warning for the visually impaired and the blind, indicating that they are about to enter a street or are approaching a curb.

What Colors Are Available?
We have six tile colors always available: yellow, clay-red, brick-red, black, gray, and blue. We boast the highest inventory for these popular colors in the industry, so we can fill most orders immediately. If you prefer a custom color, call us, and we will match your tiles to your precise color specifications.
At ADA Solutions, Inc., our warning strips offer a cost-effective way to meet ADA standards. Our strips can stand up to any weather and last up to 15 years. When they do need to be replaced, they can be swapped out in less than six minutes without any traffic disruptions. See how we can help you by calling us at (800) 372-0519.
